They provide much-needed effectiveness to the maneuver force by accomplishing mobility, and limited counter mobility, limited survivability and general engineering / construction tasks. Duties performed by Soldiers in this MOS include: Performs basic construction. Operates various light or heavy engineer wheeled vehicles. Operates or serves as crewmember on a CEV, AVLB, or an ACE while participating in combat mobility, countermobility, survivability and construction operations. Operates and employs watercraft and bridge negotiation equipment to include BEB’s (Bridge Erection Boat).
